In honor of these winners we thought we would give you a summer day or weekend to remember in McCall.   After grabbing a bite to eat at Stacey Cakes or Fogg Lifter Café, we suggest you start your day with a short hike in Ponderosa State Park.  The Lilly Marsh Trail is a beautiful trail that is easy and family friendly.   Ponderosa State park also presents its Junior Ranger Program on Saturday Mornings at 9:30 am.  After your morning activities at the state park, we suggest heading up to Brundage Mountain for Lunch at Smoky’s Pub and a scenic chair lift ride.  For those more adventurous, you can rent mountain bikes and take a ride down Elk Trail or one of the many downhill trails that are part of the Brundage Mountain trail system.

Your afternoon can be spent on the beaches of Payette Lake, lounging in the sun, swimming in the cool clear waters, and playing in the sand.  Legacy Park is right downtown walking distance to shops, restaurants, and the famous Ice Cream Ally.  You can rent paddle boards, water crafts, boats, and kayaks at Mile High Marina.

When you have had your fill of sun, head into one of the lake front restaurants to enjoy  a delicious dinner and an amazing view.  Rupert’s and the new restaurant The Anchor are standouts both in the quality and variety of their menus, and the views of their patios.  From both of these restaurants you can sip a glass of wine and watch the sunset.

This is just a sprinkle of what McCall has to offer its visitors and residents.  We hope that you come and spend more than just a day or weekend here.
